It is the possibilities of happiness, intelligence and power that give life its sanctity, and they are absent in the case of a poor, misshapen, paralyzed, unthinking creature.
It is more than possible; it is probable.
If it had been possible to build the Tower of Babel without climbing it, it would have been permitted.[Wenn es möglich gewesen wäre, den Turm von Babel zu erbauen, ohne ihn zu erklettern, es wäre erlaubt worden.]
I have to argue about flying saucers on the beach with people, you know. And I was interested in this: they keep arguing that it is possible. And that’s true. It is possible. They do not appreciate that the problem is not to demonstrate whether it’s possible or not but whether it’s going on or not.
I have no use for people who have learned the limits of the possible.
I dwell in Possibility –
I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones, and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life. And I am horribly limited.
Freedom’s possibility is not the ability to choose the good or the evil. The possibility is to be able.[Frihedens Mulighed er ikke at kunne vælge det Gode eller det Onde. Muligheden er at kunne.]
Even the Possible has it’s insoluble particle.
Drawing is the honesty of the art. There is no possibility of cheating. It is either good or bad.
