James Bond, also known by the code number 007, is a fictional character created by Ian Fleming.
The character successfully appeared in twelve books and two short story collections by Fleming, but some of the best Bond lines came from films produced by Eon Productions, which are one of the longest-running film series of all time.
Started with Dr. No (1962) and the iconic performance by Sean Connery, several actors played the role, including George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig.
