Planets are alive. On Planet Earth, volcanoes, forest fires, and earthquakes are just some of its natural processes. They are all necessary for Earth’s survival, even if they take out a few million people now and then.
Maybe there is no saving the humans. If my people kill them all, they die, but if we do not kill the humans, they will destroy the planet, then they will die anyway, and every beautiful thing on this planet will die with them.
Even in the darkest of times, humans will give all to save their planet. Even if it might bring an end to the universe.
